When you are writing a paper, brain power is important for remembering information and performing critical thinking. However, most brain power foods might not initially taste so good. Below, there are five foods to improve your mind. If you do not like some of them, it is no problem as we have mentioned some tips on how you can make them tastier!

1. Cruciferous Vegetables

Studies have shown that cruciferous vegetables have a positive effect on retaining memory which can become useful when trying to remember your paper’s outline and information you already have or need to include. However, these memory retention vegetables include broccoli, cabbage, brussels sprouts, and cauliflower. Most of these can be quite disgusting for some people. To make these healthy foods tastier, you can simply add some cheese.

Recipe: Bake broccoli and cauliflower together with salt and pepper; top it with some cheese to your liking; people usually add cheddar.

2. Spinach

Spinach is a great brain power booster, which is always helpful when writing a paper, but it certainly is on the ‘don’t like’ list for most people. Sometimes adding salt can make it taste more tolerable.

Recipe: Add some spinach to your broth soup; put some chicken noodle or dumpling. Add also some seasonings to make it flavorful.

3. Beans

Beans like kidney, chickpeas, and lentils have a lot of folic acids as well as protein that boost brain power and improve recalling information. This may sound tasty to some people and absolutely disgusting to you. If you happen to dislike beans on their own, try the following recipe.

Recipe: Mix some beans with chili. You will get a hot sauce. Eat it with pasta, french fries, crisps. You can put it on something like hotdogs or even eat on its own.

4. Onions

Onions have the ability to improve memory, focus, and other important brain functions. Even if you hate onions, you will change your attitude after having tried the following dish.

Recipe: Saute some onion with mushrooms or cook them to a very soft state in seasonings. That way, the taste and texture are either complemented and eliminated. You can complement your steak with it.

5. Dark Chocolate

Dark chocolate is a healthier choice of chocolate sweets that improves memory and increases blood flow to your brain. Also, it progresses clarity and alertness that are some of the most helpful tools when writing a paper. People might not like dark chocolate, though, because it has a bitter taste when compared to milk chocolate. If you want to make dark chocolate tastier, try our recipe.

Recipe: Melt some dark chocolate and dip some healthy fruit or berries like strawberries or some pineapple in it.

If you want to get a good grade on your paper, start by eating healthy food before you write. Some foods that will supercharge your brain might not taste that great. However, you can cook them in a way to make them more flavorful for you. Before you take your pen, get a spatula and cook!
